screams
Screaming on the inside
The screams on the outside are louder
Running from the outside screams and hiding behind the inside screams became her new safety
Half of her broke free to a new place
Found friends that became the pieces of her that had been lost
Found love that became her other half
And silenced her screams
And turned them into whispers of love
The screams on the outside are louder
Running from the outside screams and hiding behind the inside screams became her new safety
Half of her broke free to a new place
Found friends that became the pieces of her that had been lost
Found love that became her other half
And silenced her screams
And turned them into whispers of love
I felt that. I'm glad that you're finding those pieces.

ReplyDeleteI like that this marks the change in the poem, halfway through. Nice shift of tone.
